We have in-depth experience and complementary skills in Sustainability and ESG to deliver deep value to our clients. We are both senior and strategic, and highly practical, operational and solutions orientated; with strong ESG communications experience.
Partnership and collaboration across all sectors are crucial to achieving sustainability outcomes.
Most importantly, we aim to act as a trusted and valuable partner to our clients. And as advisors, our own partnership creates a breadth of complementary skills, expertise and experience; providing valuable insights and perspectives to our advisory work for our clients.
We can either work with a company’s existing sustainability partners or recommend new partners. We find the right partners for each client and therefore do not have paid affiliations.
We are highly networked in sustainability and work with selected Sustainability and ESG practitioners, ensuring our clients can access the very best sustainability subject experts.
We also partner with other experts such as professional services (i.e. auditors, law firms) and communications consultants; either to add our expertise to their offering or bring their skills to our clients.
In creating Ochre Partners, we chose a name which is highly linked to sustainability.
The word ‘Ochre’ was inspired by the Ochre Starfish (Pisaster Ochraceus) which was identified as a keystone species by the American ecologist Robert T. Paine. According to Paine, an ecosystem’s biodiversity may decline if a keystone species is removed.
The colour Ochre is also a family of earth pigments, and has been called the world’s oldest paint, reflecting the importance of natural resources in human civilisation. Ochre has been used by artists for thousands of years (from cave paintings to classical antiquity, renaissance art and in indigenous art in Australia, New Zealand, North America and Africa).
We have also used ‘Partners’ as partnership and collaboration is crucial to achieving sustainability outcomes.
